Reserve the event area

We are adding an area this year so any RFL team can host an event. Our goal is to help every team to be able to raise funds in the name of fighting cancer. We want every team to have an equal and fair opportunity to raise funds for their team. It will be each teams decision if they want to split funds raised with the River of Life team or have all funds raised go to their team. At the end of the day it isn't about who raises the most as an individual team but how much we all raise together.

1. Times that coincide with auction events are pre-reserved for the auctions.
   1. Cars on May 20th, 2023 at NOON to 4PM SLT
   2. Bikes on May 21st, 2023 at NOON to 4PM SLT
2. Reservations are open to any RFL team to host an event in the dedicated area that is a 40m x 40m (including in the space is a stage centered on one of the sides). Any decoration planning should be done in advance to be able to put items out quickly, plan everything to fit inside the dedicated area. 
3. You will be given rights to rezz out items needed to hold your event during your event time including all decorations and kiosks. Each event will be limited to 500 LI.
4. A basic stage will be out for any team to use that will remain in place through the entirety of the Bike and Car Build-Off and Auction.
5. The region will be rated moderate so no adult themed events will be allowed. 
6. We will try to accommodate every team as best we can to be able to use the event area. Reservations will be primarily on a first come, first serve basis.
7. Each team will be limited to one reservation of the event area during the entirety of the Bike and  Car Build-Off and Auction.
   1. If there is open time slots as of May 7th, 2023 a team may be granted access to hold multiple events.
   2. Each reservation will be contacted with a confirmation of the date and time that has been reserved, or not.
   3. Each team is responsible for advertising their event. This can be done by putting it onto the ACS Calendar of Events and spreading the word to your friends by what ever means you use.

EVENT SCHEDULE

Reserve a store

Store reservation is in the form of a 300L donation to an official RFL kiosk in the presence of a event manager. Each store is required to have at least one item being sold in an RFL vendor. The RFL vendor must be clearly visible while standing outside the store looking in with a clear path to it. If you are a member of an RFL team you are welcome to set the vendor in your own teams name. If you are not a member of a team or have one that you want the donations to count towards you can put in 'The River of Life' as the team. More RFL vendors are appreciated but not required. If you can create a unique item only sold in that store, or unveiled for the first time at this store would be fantastic but not required. Stores will be approximately 10m wide by 4m deep by 8m tall inside. Each store is allowed 25 LI.

Bike and Car builder registration

We welcome all bike and car builders to challenge them selves and each other in this years RFL Bike & Car Build-Off and Auction. There will be people on sim while you register for you to ask questions and help you in anyway needed.

​Register your bike or car at the building location. One thing that will help us have a successful event is if you can take your best picture of your bike or car so it can be displayed on the web. If there is also something you would like the auctioneer to mention about your bike or car that makes it so special please write it on a NC and share it with the person on sim who is assisting with setting up your bike or car.

INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS OF THE BIKE and CAR BUILDS

Any bike entered in the build-off must be able to be scripted and be driven by the creator, because ALL bikes being entered will be auctioned off for Relay For Life to raise funds in the fight against cancer.

Kit bikes not allowed (definition of a Kit bike is a bike you bought from a bike parts supplier already built and did nothing at all to it and placed it in the show).

​Bikes are limited to 90 LI.
Cars are limited to 120 LI.

Please remove all scripts from your builds. If your bike or car is found with scripts it will be disqualified and may be returned to you.

There will be two categories of prizes for each .

 Category 1) Peoples Choice
There will be an ACS kiosk that will register the amount of linden donated to each bike and car. The top three in order of donations will be the People's choice award winners for each category (Bike or Car).

Prizes in misc gift cards and trophies for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place.

Category 2) Judges Choice
There will be 3 judges for this contest and they will be required to judge on 4 categories.

3. Complexity
4. Paint

There will be multiple prizes (thousands of dollars worth of gift certificates from parts shops) and the cost to enter is 300 L. Look Forward to seeing your creations.

To enter this contest come to the display area and follow the instructions below

1. Right click the Kiosk and select ''pay''.
2. Pay the sign L$300.
3. Rez your bike or car on the platform nearest the kiosk.

Once your bike or car is ready to be displayed come on down and show off your work. You have until May 12th to make sure you are completely happy with it. After that the judging will begin. Judging ends May 18th at 10 PM SLT.
